Our Story

Hey, I’m Elin, owner of By Elfie, it’s nice to meet you! I make products designed for individuals who own their style and aren’t afraid to experiment with new looks. Here you’ll find accessories and home decor, all painstakingly perfected to be worthy of your Instagram feed. And who knows, there might be some new products landing in the very near future.

By Elfie was founded in 2019, when I struggled to find stand-out accessories at a reasonable price point. I’m really into minimalist looks and clean tailoring paired with statement pieces, so I was on the hunt for fun pieces to really elevate my outfits. However, bored of the same accessories being sold in all of the shops, I decided to take action and make my own bags.

My initial prototype was very similar to the Pom Pom bags I sell today, and after styling this on the regular and receiving compliments from strangers and friends alike and multiple requests for the bag itself, I took the opportunity to start my own business! From selling these I developed the bum bag designs, diversifying my product offering and catering to my followers needs for a smaller and more compact cross-body design for every day.

Today, bag requests are busier than ever, and I love nothing more than seeing you guys styling my designs and sharing your looks!

Every single design is hand made by myself, and takes a minimum of 8 hours to make. I source sustainable wool from local suppliers, and I am super conscious of leaving as little waste as possible, which is why every design differs based on my current stock levels. I believe that the future of fashion is in small businesses, and take pride in keeping my practices as sustainable as possible!

Most of all I believe that accessorising is about having fun, and hope that I keep enabling you to do just that through my designs!
